Sleeping ArrangementsOn the hill the boys and girls are separated. Those that stay on the Girls side are not allowed on the boy's side of the hill and those that stay on the boys are not allowed on the girl's side. The hill is split evenly by a the mess hall and empty tent areas. The girls side take the high road and the boys take the low road. This separation is very distinct and also provides a barrier so neither side can see the other.

Counselor to Camper RatiosIn addition to the sixth grade teachers of the Old Adobe Union District, high school and college counselors and adult volunteers will also be present at camp.
During the day, study groups of approximately 30 campers are paired with at least one teacher and 6 to 8 counselors. During the evening and night hours a team of teachers will patrol the student sleeping areas. |
Bathing & RestroomsThe hill has bathing facilities for the boys and girls. There are also toilet and sink stations between every two cabin or tent groups so the campers can easily use the restroom in the middle of the night. Our main shower facilities are distinctly placed on both sides of the hill. The girls are ONLY allowed to use the facilities during the first half of each day, the boys are ONLY allowed to use the facilities the second half of each day.
Campers must also ALWAYS be escorted by counselors to the shower facilities to ensure they are being safe and conserving water. |
